Open Door is a Registered Training Organisation and our provider number is 21858.
We were first registered as an RTO in 2007 under the VQRA and then again on 1st October 2012 with Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).
We are very proud and excited to let you know that our coaching qualifications have been renewed by ASQA for a further 5 years, commencing on 1st January 2015 (see below for more information).
Scope of Registration
Open Door has a limited number of qualifications on our Scope of Registration. This is an important part of our business strategy because we are specialist in leadership and coaching – not trying to be ‘all things to all people’. We have our accredited programs, developed by Natalie Ashdown our CEO that we delivered as public or in-house programs.
Accredited coaching qualifications:
10535NAT: Certificate IV in Workplace and Business Coaching
10536NAT: Diploma of Workplace and Business Coaching
Frequently asked questions:
“Are they national qualifications that can be delivered around the States?”
• The answer is “Yes!”
“Are these qualifications part of the Business Services Training Package?”
• The answer is “No! They are accredited courses, owned by Open Door, not part of the Commonwealth owned training package”.
Our qualifications are nationally recognised training and we are entitled to display the logo (below) to indicate that the qualification are recognised.

Open Door is audited by our regulatory authority ASQA and we also undertake internal audits to ensure our compliance with all regulations.
Open Door was audited by ASQA representatives on 15th March 2012 as part of our Continuing Registration as a National VET Regulator (NVR) Registered Training Organisation (RTO). (In other words, our RTO Registration was due for renewal and we audited by ASQA as part of this process).
Any non-compliance rectifications were completed by Open Door and on 28th August 2012 we received a Final Audit Outcome letter that our application to renew our registration as a national VET regulator (NVR) registered training organisation (RTO) had been granted.
Open Door was granted registration for a period of five years commencing on 1st October 2012 and is due to expire on 30 September 2017.
Prior to this date will be applying for continued registration.
Learner Survey Reports
As part of our RTO obligations under the 2014-2016 VET Funding Contract Open Door sends a Learner Survey to all of our graduates from our qualifications. This survey has been designed by the government, and we are required to publish the results.
Click here for a copy of Open Door’s 2015 results.
These indicators are based on a survey of 305 students and 17 employers. This sample represents 54.7% of this organisation’s training delivery in the 2015 calendar year. The students and employers surveyed for these indicators were selected by this organisation in accordance with national guidelines.
We are proud of these results, however the Learner Survey does not provide enough information that we need to run our business and to ensure that we are bringing the best quality coach training to Organisations.
Therefore we also conduct qualitative surveys with all students about:
‘what has changed since doing their program?’ ‘what do they feel they have achieved?’, ‘how they are applying the coaching skills back into the workplace?’ and ‘how can we improve the programs?’.
Contact us if you’d like to talk more about this.
